Ride Overview

You’ve seen the glossy brochures and the same cookie-cutter ranch vacations. If you’re looking for a horseback adventure that’s more than a slow ride around the same dusty trail, you’ve come to the right place.

These awesome trails combine incredible riding with the rich culture of New Mexico. Every week includes a day off the trail to explore historic towns, enjoy local events, experience authentic Southwestern cuisine, or browse galleries and artisan shops.

You’ll ride somewhere new every day because we trailer horses, tack, and you to a different destination, from colorful desert arroyos and alpine forests to crossings of the Rio Grande. At day’s end, you’ll return to the ranch for a hot shower, a hearty meal, and a comfortable bed.

Groups are small—no more than five riders—with two wranglers on every ride. This is what makes this ride so special and creates an experience that feels more like visiting friends than joining a tour.

Rides are typically four to five hours in the saddle with a scenic picnic lunch along the way. Whether you’re cantering across open desert or winding through mountain trails, every ride is designed to showcase the best of New Mexico while matching the pace to your comfort and ability.

Come experience the Southwest the way it was meant to be seen—from the back of a horse.  And (wait for it…..) we have specialty weeks on offer as well – Rodeo weeks, Native American weeks, Fiesta weeks and Yoga weeks.

NOTE:  This is for solid intermediate and up riders – balanced seat, posting trot, two point at the canter over distance.
