April - Native Cultural Journey Week

This special offering invites guests beyond the saddle and into the living heartbeat of New Mexico’s Indigenous cultures, art, history, and landscape.

During this immersive tourism day, guests will begin with a gentle hike through Petroglyph National Monument, walking among ancient symbols carved into volcanic stone centuries ago. From there, we’ll visit the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center to explore the vibrant Spring Arts Market featuring Native artists, handmade jewelry, pottery, textiles, storytelling, dance, and regional foods.

This experience pairs beautifully with our riding vacations, offering guests a deeper connection to the land, its first storytellers, and the enduring spirit woven throughout New Mexico.

May - Madrid Blues Festival Week

Step into the rhythm of New Mexico during our special tourism day to the Madrid Crawdaddy Blues Fest in the historic mountain town of Madrid. This beloved annual festival transforms the quirky old mining town into a lively celebration of blues music, food, art, and high-desert culture.

Centered around the iconic The Mine Shaft Tavern, the festival features live blues performances across multiple stages including the Tavern, the Deck, the Tent Amphitheater, and the Hurricane Bar. Music fills the streets all day as guests wander through Madrid’s colorful galleries, artisan shops, patios, and historic buildings.

The festival is just as much about the food as the music, serving up fresh crawfish, green chile blue crab cakes, gumbo, BBQ, and other Southwest-meets-Louisiana favorites that have become part of the Crawdaddy tradition.

June - Santa Fe Rodeo Week

Rodeo De Santa Fe, one of the oldest rodeos in the southwest, is located just minutes from the historical Santa Fe Plaza. It’s an annual stop on the rodeo circuit for many of the best contenders in the nation.

The Rodeo de Santa Fe is more than just a sporting event; it is a celebration of the Western lifestyle and a showcase of rodeo talent. Its blend of competitive sports, cultural heritage, and community spirit makes it a cherished tradition in Santa Fe. Whether you're a rodeo enthusiast or a first-time visitor, the Rodeo de Santa Fe offers a unique and exhilarating experience that captures the essence of the American West.

July - Galisteo Rodeo Week

Experience the authentic spirit of New Mexico at the Rodeo de Galisteo. Held in the historic village of Galisteo, this intimate community rodeo brings together local cowboys and cowgirls for traditional events, including barrel racing, roping and bull riding. It’s a lively celebration of the region’s ranching heritage—and a chance to enjoy rodeo the way New Mexicans do: close to the arena, surrounded by locals and rich Western tradition.

August - Indian Market Week

The Santa Fe Indian Market is unrivaled in both size and prestige. More than 100,000 collectors, gallery owners, and fans of Indian art flood Santa Fe, gushing over what Indian Market has to offer. Over 1,000 artists representing over 100 tribes—without a doubt, you'll find a treasure of your very own.

September - EquiYoga Weeks

Equestrian sports involve two athletes of different species performing together in physical and mental harmony. Like any good team, we owe it to our equine partners to show up as our best selves. The EquiYoga Retreat provides the rider with tools and knowledge based on natural horsemanship philosophy and an EquiYoga practice.

Starting on the mat, each EquiYoga class focuses on a distinct section of the body (upper, lower, or center) and provides a solution to the following question: How can I use this area to communicate with my horse more clearly and strengthen our partnership?

With hands-on observations and guidance in the arena, Justyn helps you apply these ideas from the mat to the saddle. Every session aims to address physical patterns, mental obstacles, and several other challenges that prevent you from being a confident and balanced rider.

Heading out of the arena and onto the trail, we will ride in stunning locations throughout the week, so you can utilize these concepts in real-life scenarios. You will begin to recognize your patterns and responses while riding, and you will be able to adjust to your surroundings.

With a mixture of trail riding, EquiYoga classes, and Yin Yoga sessions, this week is less about the adventure and more about the journey.

October - Balloon Fiesta Week

Every October, the skies above New Mexico come alive with one of the most photographed events in the world—the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. Visitors travel from across the globe to witness hundreds of vibrant hot air balloons drift gracefully over the Rio Grande Valley. With the river winding below and the Sandia Mountains rising above, it’s a spectacle unlike any other.

What makes our experience unique is that we’re the only outfitter offering this breathtaking event from the saddle.Imagine riding out at dawn, your horse’s hooves carrying you across moderate terrain, while brilliant balloons fill the sky overhead. On lucky mornings, we even catch the thrill of watching pilots perform a “splash and dash” as their balloons skim the river’s surface.

Each day is thoughtfully designed to maximize your viewing opportunities and give you plenty of time to capture unforgettable photos. One morning, we’ll take you directly into the heart of the Fiesta grounds, where you’ll stand among these colorful giants as they lift off. Later, you’ll have the chance to wander the festival itself, enjoying local flavors, handcrafted art, and one-of-a-kind Southwest treasures.
