We’ve had an amazing time in Ireland and Kayla loves riding here. I can’t wait to see her ride her horse back home with her new level of confidence.

We had a wonderful experience at Clonshire – the trainers and horses know their job and are top notch. I’ve learned so much, wow, we didn’t want to leave.
Beautiful countryside There is nothing to complain about. The utmost KUDOS and LOVE for this trip. THANK YOU! Grateful beyond words.

What a wonderful adventure! I loved every minute of my stay at Clonshire, and I have already started saving so I can come back next year. Thank you for treating me as part of your family.
Please thank all the wonderful young ladies at the barn for teaching me so much and taking such good care of me: Marie, Joanne, Katrina and Yvonne. And of course special pats for Augustus, Aubrey, Nero, Tristan, Nasdaq, and Laughton. I learned something from each of them.
I’m looking forward to riding Piper tomorrow to see how he likes it when I sit up instead of slouching. (At least that’s what I hope I’ll be doing.)
Again, many thanks.

My daughter Katya and I had the ideal mother-daughter vacation at Clonshire Equestrian Centre in Adare, Ireland! Katya was part of the week-long kids’ riding camp; these campers stayed with the family right at the equestrian center, which gave Katya the opportunity to make friends from all over the world. They had two-three riding lessons a day, including arena work to sharpen dressage skills, stadium jumping to hone jumping skills, and lots of cross-country work out on the multiple cross country courses, featuring log jumps, stone walls, varying terrain and water and other obstacles. Some of the campers had English language lessons in the afternoon, while others took part in stable management lessons in the Clonshire stables. Finally, the days ended with a late afternoon hack, often with the adult campers, out across the magical County Limerick countryside.
I took part in the “adult camp,” where we had a similar daily schedule, but instead of staying at the center I stayed at the wonderful Adare Country House Inn. This charming BnB is right in the village of Adare, within a four minute walk of many wonderful restaurants and authentic Irish pubs. This allowed me to see Katya every day at the centre, but to have a little “mommy vacation” in the beautiful little village of Adare.
I was so impressed with Clonshire Equestrian Centre! The centre includes multiple indoor and outdoor arenas, an outdoor stadium jump course, cross-country courses, and boarding for 75+ horses. The cross-country courses were particularly impressive! The horses were Irish Draft/Irish Sport horses or Connemara ponies. All were extremely athletic, willing and well-trained. I had the opportunity to ride several different horses a day, which was great fun and really increased my versatility as a rider.
Finally, the staff was amazing! Dan and Sue were delightful hosts and instructors, and the staff included many excellent coaches that challenged and encouraged us to be better ridersand to push ourselves out of our comfort zone. I had my best lesson ever with Evonne learning a different canter seat, and the most thrilling lesson ever with Sue, who coaxed me into jumping stone walls aboard an 18-hand Irish Sport Horse! Both Katya and I significantly improved our riding skills during our week at Clonshire, and we can’t wait to return!

This is my 4th time training at Clonshire and a week I look forward to annually. I received personalized attention and rode several amazing horses. The people in town came up to say that they recognized me from prior years – from old men to little boys – it’s funny and makes me feel more at home. I even even befriended a local farmer – he showed me pictures of his cows and his house. Way to make a good first impression! 🙂
Sue was wonderful and I took a lesson with Dan on the last day! I love how they simplify things and yet impart so much new information. The horses were amazing and yet when I came home, it made me appreciate Baloo (the horse I bought from them 2 years ago) all the more! Cross-country was amazing and I did things of which I did not know I would be capable.
My driver, John, was wonderful. He helped me out, took me around and made me feel right at home. Of course, the same can be said of Dennis and Eileen at the B&B. I truly love staying there and it feels like coming home all over again.
Thanks for all of your help!

Thank you for everything!
