Portugal’s Classical Dressage Program
Thank you for checking in during our stay – I am having the time of my life!!! The people here are wonderful, the instruction excellent, the lesson horses superb, the food delicious, the rooms comfortable and the scenery beautiful! I don’t think I’ve ever had such a wonderful vacation!
I would only recommend one thing, when independent women like ourselves tell you they’re taking the train from Lisbon to Evora, tell them DON’T DO IT!!! Lol The ticket desk failed to inform us that there were several changes of trains along the way. Our first leg came to its end and the conductor kicked us (politely) off the train! Fortunately, Rita at Monte Velho immediately arranged for a taxi the take us to Monte Velho, so no harm, no foul. But we’ve learned our lesson!
Otherwise it has been splendid!
Peru’s Machu Picchu Ride
I wanted to write to thank you for a fantastic trip. My daughter and I had a wonderful, very memorable week. Both our guide, Antonio, and our wranglers, were very professional but also very good company. We were lucky to be trekking in parallel with the hiking group led by Fernando and Betto.
The lodge staff were all terrific. We cannot stop marveling at the logistical challenges of running those remote lodges- it is still difficult to comprehend that something that is so challenging to supply could be so smoothly and professionally run.
The horses were wonderful. The food was great. Of course the place, and scenery, were incredible. Everything ran smoothly. The additional programs – evening talks, special meals- were fun and worthwhile.
And thank you for putting us in the Hotel Monasterio in Cusco- that was an extra special treat..
We hope to return to Peru and travel with you again. Thank you for everything!
British Columbia Lodge Ride
This ride has the most breath taking views one could image. I found it hard to believe that wilderness as such still existed!
The food was not at all what I expected – It was 5 star hotel food. The horses were great and showed us a super time. My only complaint was that it was a couple of days before we got to do cantering. But, when we did – boy did we!
I am going to go back sometime again. I really loved this trip.
France’s Bordeaux Vineyards Ride
Riding horses through the vineyards of the Bordeaux region; well trained horses, beautiful landscape, sampling wines. What could be better than that? A very well organized week with attention to every detail, run by Davide and Britta (our hosts); we stayed in a new place every night, either a small hotel or a charming B&B. A great and fun week was had by all.
Thank you!
