Ride Overview
Did “Yellowstone” whet your appetite for the sprawling and drool worthy expanse of Montana? Grab your hat and boots and check out our ranch ride at the Circle Bar Ranch – a place dating back to the 1800s – yup – some of the buildings are still original! And we are happy to say that this ranch has been successfully hosting guests since 1920! It’s the real deal all the way.
Accommodations are onsite in lodge rooms or in small cabins – all of which are comfortably arranged with either King, Queen or twin beds. And one of the very best parts, the maximum number of guests is about 35 – so it fits right in with our goal of never sending you to a huge, cookie cutter production type city slicker ranch! And with its location on the headwaters of the Judith River Basin – if there is a heaven on earth, you’re pretty darn close!

Riding is what they are known for here!
Daily rides will take you through river crossings, across open meadows and through dense pine forests; with rides where trotting and loping can be incorporated - all offered several times throughout the week. So if you're traveling with friends that don't ride as much, or want to ride at a more relaxing pace - Circle Bar Guest Ranch has you covered!
Riding is offered most mornings and afternoons, with specialty rides like a breakfast ride and cattle drive ride offered weekly.
When not riding, or if traveling with a non rider, there is ample trout fishing, archery, shooting, hiking or simply relaxing in the hot tub.

We had a blast, super lovely people, lovely other guests, gorgeous views and great horses. The rides were on the slower side of things, due to the steeper climbs (but we did lope a few times) but really enjoyed the scenery and relaxed pace.
Thanks for another great vacation!
