THIS is your week – one time only – and all the great wines Bordeaux is famous for producing!  Add to that exceptional riding for our strong intermediate and advanced riders – and THIS is the itinerary and level of service that makes this trip truly one of the absolute best in our cache of trips.

Day 1: Arrival

Arrive (independent) in the afternoon to the Hotel Grand Barrail***** in Saint Emilion for 3 nights.

Briefing, dinner and overnight in a superior room. (www.grand-barrail.com)

Day 2: Pomerol

After breakfast, mount up and enjoy your first ride around the area of Saint Emilion - your first chance to enjoy your athletic and fun horse and see the vineyards that make this appellation famous.

Lunch and wine tasting in Chateau La Croizille. A second wine tasting at Pomerol in the afternoon.

Dinner and overnight in the Hotel Grand Barrail again.

Day 3: Saint Emilion

This morning, you continue to ride and explore this area with a few hours of beautiful countryside before stopping to enjoy a tasting at Saint Emilion, followed by lunch and a guided tour of the vineyard and operation.

Day 4: Blaye

After breakfast, you will transfer to Bourg sur Gironde and ride in the morning to the citadel of Blaye.

Lunch in the Citadelle and a guided visit before another wine tasting in the afternoon.

Day 5: Haut Medoc and Saint Julien

Today is one of the most fun days we can recall - a true experience with your horse! You and your horse will board the ferry and cross the mighty Gironde River - it's truly a one of a kind experience - and both you and your horse will love the breeze in your hair!

Once across, you'll mount up and and ride to Chateau Lamarque and Chateau Lanessan. You'll enjoy a lovely lunch at Chateau Lanessan in the cellars to enjoy their wines and learn about their operation.

Day 6: Pauillac and Saint Estephe

After a lovely breakfast, enjoy your fun ride around the vineyards of Pauillac will many fun canters.

Lunch will be waiting for you at Chateau Cordellan Bages after which you will enjoy a wine tasting and tour of the extraordinary Chateau Clos d'Estournel with has 7 Grand Cru classes all from this appellation!

Dinner and overnight at Chateau Real.

Day 7: Medoc, Margaux and Bordeaux

On this last morning, you've got a fabulous day planned! You'll ride from Bernos to Moulis (Medoc) - a gorgeous and fertile area.

Lunch will await you in Chateau Dauzac and an afternoon tasting at Margaux - a very special treat indeed!

The group will transfer back to Bordeaux to the Grand Hotel Continental of Bordeaux***** in the very center of this classical town, located just in front of the Opera.
