Ride Overview
OK, we have to say upfront that in her younger years, Stacey was a HUGE Val Kilmer fan. But even with that, this ride is literally like being in the movie. Really, it’s like walking on set – complete with a saloon, a bordello, a hotel and the requisite “main street” with ample hitching posts! And, all situated with the incredible Dragoon Mountains as your back drop – every way you turn is stunning.
An easy 1.5 hour drive from Tucson and you are instantly whisked away to the early 1800s. The ranch is located just outside the town of Tombstone but don’t worry, you have ample opportunity to walk the main street of Tombstone during your stay! The ranch offers varied daily riding, including specialty rides like the Beer and Cheetos and local history ride; plus there are daily fast rides where trotting and loping are incorporated so no need to worry it will all be “Ho Hum walking.”
When not riding, continue your wild west experience with shooting, archery or hiking to see the petroglyphs or mines that gave this town its first settlers. And no week is complete without riding into Tombstone proper, tying up your horse and exploring the museums and stopping for a drink at Big Nose Kate’s (the girlfriend of Doc Holliday).
Open year round – it’s a perfect place no matter when you can travel!
