Riding a gaited horse is like no other – and those that have them are often heard wondering why everyone else hasn’t figured it all out as yet.

If you’ve ever had the chance to ride a gaited horse, you know how special and unique the experience is, like riding a hovercraft only better as it’s a horse!  We are thrilled to be working with Michael Gascon to offer folks the chance to spend a week exploring the lush and fertile terrain of southern Mississippi on his well trained and loving Paso Finos.

Michael Gascon comes from a long line of trainers and don’t let his youthful looks fool you – this man is a wealth of knowledge and his success in and out of the colt starting and competition world precede him.  It is a true privilege to ride any of the herd on the family ranch.

Your week of relaxing on the ranch includes trail riding, natural horsemanship work, exploring the obstacle course, or just relaxing in the tranquil and bucolic countryside of the farm, just a short distance from the Gulf of Mexico or New Orleans.

It’s a week that will make an impression and have you falling (more) in love with the Paso Fino breed.

Dates:  Open year round, Arrive on Sunday
Rates:  $2,000.00 USD per person in a shared room.

Testimonials:

Krista and I had a fabulous time and have talked about returning to Horse Haven with Krista’s sister, Stacey.

We were treated royally. The entire Gascon family and ranch staff were friendly and helpful. We felt very welcome.

The accommodations were clean and comfortable and the meals were delicious. They also took us out for dinner several times while we were there.

We enjoyed the trail rides and instruction that we received. There were ample opportunities to do things we have never done before — obstacle course, horse soccer, etc. Playing soccer on horseback was a blast! Another highlight was riding three gorgeous Paso Fino stallions — Tito, Sockabo and BaBa Lu. We learned a lot about riding from everyone at the ranch. We bonded with the horses we rode by grooming them before and after riding.

Everyone bent over backwards to make sure we had a great experience at Horse Haven. They asked us what we would like to do and whether we were happy with the level of activity. I would highly recommend a stay at Horse Haven.

We heartily thank Michael, Jaime, Cindi, Brooke, Luis and Sophie for all they did for us while we stayed at Horse Haven.
