After breakfast, enjoy your first morning ride in the Luberon Park. Return to the equestrian center and transfer to Lourmarin, a village widely known as one of the most beautiful villages of France. Lunch in the village on your own (there are many wonderful cafes) and a nice afternoon to explore and shop before your return transfer to your bed and breakfast where you can enjoy the jacuzzi, sauna or sensory isolation box to relax before the excellent dinner prepared by your host.
Jan. 16 - Thursday:
After breakfast you’ll mount up for a full day ride to the Durance River banks. You will ride in the hills at the foot of the majestic Luberon Mountains, through pine forests and Provencal scrubland to reach the Durance valley. Known as the garden of Provence, with its orchards of olive, almond, peach, apricot, your senses will be thrilled even in this winter month. You then follow the banks of the Durance by pleasant tracks likely discovering herons, ducks and other birds. After a nice picnic lunch by the river you will ride back by the hills with beautiful views of the Luberon and further, the Sainte Victoire mountain which was dear to the artist Cezanne.
Jan. 17 - Friday:
Enjoy a rest this morning or a quiet spa in the sauna, jacuzzi or sensory isolation box. In the late morning you’ll have a minibus transfer to the horse festival in Avignon. Lunch is independent at the Festival and you’ll have ample time to visit the Salon, enjoy some shopping, view the breed demonstrations and grab a bite for dinner before you attend the show "Crinières d'Or". Afterward, your minibus awaits to transfer you to Lauris (30 minutes). Overnight at your guesthouse.
Jan. 18 - Saturday:
After breakfast you’ll head out on a 1 ½ hour ride through the surrounding countryside. Arriving back at the farm, a nice lunch awaits with wonderful French table wine. Enjoy an apertif with music before a lovely evening meal and night at the guesthouse where you can relax in the indoor pool, jacuzzi, spa or isolation box.
