History was made on the famous beaches of Gold, Juno and Omaha on the western coast of France. But the rich history of this area goes much further back than the mid 1900s. The Vikings landed in Normandy in the 9th Century, and it, like the rest of France, was impacted by the French Revolution. But it is not all turmoil and battlefield, it also claims royal heritage. William the Conqueror was the only monarch of England that was born outside of that country.
The countryside is a wonderful mix of rolling hills, woodlands and beaches, all of which make for some of the best trail riding in France. This very special itinerary is designed to give you daily trail rides of about four hours each day and then tours of the most impactful destinations – The German Battery, Pointe du Hoc, the Beaches, the Artificial Harbor, Bayeux and the American Cemetery.
